 |  A little hidden gem for Russian speaking parents, who want to help their kids socialize and learn in a Russian speaking environment. My 3.5 year old son is now reading in Russian, which helped him start reading in English, too! He loves both the language and the art classes and looks forward to coming to this school. The classrooms have been decorated with a lot of creativity and whimsy - it's a welcome difference when you compare it to the American child-centered facilities. The owner also tries to accommodate parents' wishes and concerns. The school is always coming up with new offerings, classes in theatre, cooking, and even Spanish. | My daughter is learning Russian, and this place is close to our home so we gave it a try. What can I say, she likes it. She learns formal rules of Russian language, poems, reads interesting stories, even Ancient Greeks Myths, and her Russian has improved dramatically thanks to the teachers of Vasilisa and our efforts as parents. | My son comes here once a week for Russian lesson. First I was very skeptical about it so I just gave it a try. My boy is not one of the kids who love school and extra lessons and etc. So I was very surprised to find out that he really enjoyed the class!!!! It's been a few months now since him started the program and I see a lot of improvements in his reading and writing which is awesome!!! And the most important- he still loves the place... Oh, and my two daughters (15 and16) also take Russian class on Sat. Both of them like it and you know how difficult to deal with teens if they don't want to do something:) So yes, it is a great place for education!!! | My son has gone from barely knowing the letters of the Russian alphabet to being able to read really well in Russian in a few short months! The lessons are fun and stimulating for the kids, but are, at the same time, meticulously planned out and structured to promote maximal learning. Tatiana, the Russian instructor, has a degree in Russian education and applies her wealth of knowledge to great effect. More than just teaching the students the Russian language, Tatiana's weekly homework assignments (which consist of stories, followed by a series of questions about the stories and a list of words or phrases that the students have to define) force the children to think critically about the stories they are reading and facilitate comprehension and a deeper understanding. | I am so impressed with Vasilisa Tutoring Center! My son, who is 8 years old, learned how to read russian after attending only 2 classes. He also attends a chess class and I can tell he truly enjoys going to the center. Teachers are patient, caring and love kids. | For many people who came from other countries is essential to save a language and a culture for their kids. And for me, as a mom it was a very important issue as well. So, I found "Vasilisa Tutoring" for my sons more than a year ago for that reason and I'm very happy with the results! It's a great place to study Russian language and Russian culture! Moreover, my kids are also practice chess in Vasilisa Tutoring, and they liked it so much! I definitely recommend this place for families with kids, who are looking for a high quality knowledges!!! | My son is 10yo and he is in love with Vasilisa programs. We started our Russian classes 3 years ago with Tatiana. Now we take the entire Saturday with art, chess, cooking, Spanish, Russian and science classes. It is always something new at school. We also going to try Day camp program for upcoming Spring break. | .Decided to celebrate my mother's birthday with a paint and wine night. Everyone had a great time, everyone at Vasilisa is very accommodating. Wine, snacks, and all supplies provided. | Our daughter attended "Vasilisa's" summer camp for two weeks. She had a lot of fun! Every day she would come home and tell us about something new she learned in this school. She liked very much to play fun games in Russian classes, draw pictures in beatifully decorated art studio, bake cookies, play chess and simply be around playful, funny kids in the center. | Vasilisa tutoring center is a great center which helps me keep the Russian language for my kids. The program is strong, and they have many otherclasses besides just reading and writing in Russian. I like that they have science and cooking classes in Russian, so the kids can hear and practice their Russian vocabulary in other topics than just a day to day conversation. | To begin with, my both kids, 9 and 6, know how to read fluently and write in cursive in Russian. You will get your money worth and more. I highly recommend Tatyana's Russian Tutoring Center-Vasilisa--as they provide great and qualitative tuition for your kids if you want them to be proficient in Russian as well as other great classes they facilitate there. | Our daughter has been coming here consistently for over a year. Classes are fun and very educational at the same time. She really loves coming here. | My two sons (5yo and 7yo) are enjoying Vasilisa tutoring center for over 3 years. We started with Russian language classes. They both were born in US, but, thanks to Tatiana, they not only speak Russian but can read and write in Russian! The energy of the school is so bright and joyful that very fast we added the entire Saturday School, which include Science lessons, Art classes, English and Spanish lessons and Cooking classes for kids. For me, as a parent, it sounds amazing that I can get so many great, useful activities for my kids at only one place. We also tried Winter Day Camp in Vasilisa. | I highly recommend this tutoring center. My almost four year old loves coming here. She now understands the concept of putting letters together and is starting to read only after few months of coming here once a week. Sofia knows how to keep them focused and interested. Her favorite classes are art and molding. Luda is an amazing teacher who is a professional artist as well as an amazing educator! I couldn't help but notice that the owner fully invests in this center. There are so many resources here, whether it's the art, russian language, or cooking class.
